KNIGHTS DROP TWO ROAD MATCHES

REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College men's soccer dropped both Golden Valley Conference matches on the road last week, losing to Feather River 8-1 and Lassen 9-4.

The Knights are on a four-match skid despite tying their season-high four goals in a match twice during that span.

Against Feather River, Shasta sophomore Gary Santos scored in the 26th minute to cut the deficit in half. But the Knights surrendered two more goals before intermission and four more in the second half. Shasta goalkeeper Jordan Christian recorded eight saves in the defeat.

In Friday's game against Lassen, sophomore Mason Jensen scored two unassisted goals. Christian had seven saves in the loss.

Shasta (1-8, 0-3 GVC) plays at Lake Tahoe College Friday before returning home Tuesday against Butte on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
