Despite being scoreless after the first inning, Shasta quickly gained momentum, securing a 9-1 lead by the fifth inning. Shasta's relentless offensive barrage featured 11 hits and was orchestrated by Tyler Zahniser, who notably contributed three RBIs. The pivotal fifth inning saw Shasta capitalize on Feather River's fielding miscues, pushing the score further beyond reach. The sixth inning added to Feather River's struggles, with Sodai Takanaga driving in another run for Shasta, making it 10-2, followed by Patrick Bowen's RBI double in the seventh that sealed Shasta's commanding victory.

Pitching was a crucial component of Shasta's success, with Justin Evasovic delivering a strong performance on the mound, allowing just one earned run over seven innings while striking out four. Aaron Wood effectively closed out the game, facing nine batters and striking out four in the final two innings. On the other side, Feather River's pitching, led by Jack Hanna, faced challenges, allowing 11 runs on 11 hits while struggling with control and consistency.
