REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College's women's basketball team fell to Solano 55-30 on Friday, Dec. 9.
The Knights were outscored 20-11 in the opening period and trailed 24-17 at half. Shasta trailed by 12 entering the final period and was outscored 19-6 in the fourth quarter.
Shasta shot 18 percent from the floor in the game (11 of 60), making 5 of 33 from beyond the arc (15 percent).
Isabela Padilla's nine points and 10 rebounds led the Knights. Kaleia Mizuta scored eight points and grabbed five rebounds, Trinity Fernandez had a team-best three assists, three steals and three blocks and Creedence Shaver contributed eight rebounds off the bench.
Shasta (7-6) plays at San Mateo and San Jose in the San Mateo Tournament on Dec. 16-17.
