REDDING, Calif. – The Shasta College women’s basketball team picked up its first Golden Valley Conference wins by beating College of the Siskiyous 64-62 at home and Feather River College 61-52.

The Knights outscored the Eagles 16-8 in the third quarter to lead 44-41 entering the final period and held on to win. Kaleia Mizuta had her second straight double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds to go with six assists. Isabela Padilla scored a team-high 18 points to go with eight rebounds, Amber Wallace scored 17 points and Trinity Fernandez grabbed eight rebounds.
Shasta 61, Feather River 52
The Knights outscored the Golden Eagles 27-11 in the final period for their first back-to-back wins since early November. Wallace scored 26 points and had nine rebounds, Mizuta scored 13 points and matched Fernandez's four assists and three steals. Jeanna Bucher scored 10 points and had seven rebounds in the win.
Shasta (2-1 GVC, 9-11) plays at Butte College on Saturday.
