REDDING, Calif. – Shasta College's women's basketball team lost both Golden Valley Conference games last week with a 105-45 loss at Butte College and a 73-46 loss to College of the Redwoods.
Butte 105, Shasta 45
The Knights fell behind 29-9 after the opening period and trailed 56-21. Emma Gaddy scored 13 points, Gracey Harlan had a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds and Creedence Shaver recorded three steals.
Redwoods 73, Shasta 46
Shasta trailed 44-25 at halftime and went scoreless from beyond the arc. Harlan scored 18 points and Shaver added 14 points and nine rebounds. Gigi Velasquez, Bailey Matos and Harlan had six rebounds apiece.
Shasta (1-3 GVC, 10-13) hosts Butte College Wednesday and plays at Siskiyous on Saturday.
